Expedition fee inclusions/exclusions
The 14-day International Antarctic Expedition, 28 February to 13 March 2013, begins in Ushuaia, Argentina.
The Expedition Fee includes:
- Three nights pre-expedition hotel accommodation with breakfast
- Transfers from the airport to the hotel
- Welcome dinner in Ushuaia
- Transfers from the hotel to the ship on embarkation day
- Transfers from the ship to the airport on disembarkation day
- Shipboard accommodation with daily housekeeping
- All breakfasts, lunches and dinners on board throughout your voyage.
- Coffee, tea and cocoa available around the clock
- All shore landings per the daily program
- Leadership throughout the voyage by our experienced Expedition Leader, including shore landings and other activities
- Formal and informal presentations by our Expedition Team and guest speakers as scheduled
- Photographic journal and HD film on a 2041 jump drive documenting the voyage including presentations by speakers and Robert Swan
- A pair of waterproof expedition boots on loan for shore landings
- Comprehensive pre-departure materials, including a map and informative Antarctic Reader.
- All miscellaneous service taxes and port charges throughout the program
- All luggage handling aboard ship
Not included in the Expedition Fee are:
- Any airfare
- Personal gear and clothing
- Passport and visa expenses
- Government arrival and departure taxes
- Two dinners in Ushuaia, depending on arrival time
- Lunches in Ushuaia
- Baggage, cancellation and medical travel insurance
- Excess baggage charges
- Laundry, bar, beverage and other personal charges
