Now you can see all the great initiatives taking place at E-base India, a project by Conservation Wildland Trust on their new website: http://ebase.conservationwildlands.org.
“E-base India is located in the Interpretation Centre at the Turia Gate of Pench Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh, the ‘Education Base’ (E-Base) is a space that serves as a classroom, training cum exhibition space. It aims to connect the Forest Department, the local community and tourists visiting the Park with a common link to conservation and sustainability.
The E-Base is run purely on clean energy supplied by solar panels. It attempts to showcase alternative energy as a substitute to fossil fuels, which contribute to climate change.
In November 2011, the E-Base (a project of Conservation Wildlands Trust) was inaugurated by Robert Swan (OBE), pre-eminent polar explorer and environmental leader, in partnership with the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department.”
